The Geer Services staff recently had the pleasure of touring the new State Attorney’s Office now located a block away in Downtown Jacksonville. The office has been officially relocated next to the new courthouse in the newly renovated original downtown post office. The owners of Geer Services were personally invited to take a tour of the new facility and were very impressed with how well the building has been renovated.
Pat and Richard also wanted to visit the location from a historical perspective as Richard’s Grandfather Edward Pemberton was the Superintendent of Mails there from 1919 to 1965. They were very impressed to see how much of the original charm had been preserved and reflected in the new modern facility. The State Attorney’s Office has done a wonderful job of preserving the beauty of the building to accentuate its wonderful history and Angela Corey has personally added many furniture items and decorative pieces herself to enhance the visual impact.
Pat and Richard have known Angela Corey for years and consider her a wonderful friend. Richard also worked with Angela in a former career as a graphics specialist with the Northeast Florida Investigative Support Center when she was an Assistant State Attorney. Some of his earliest projects were in direct assistance to Angela and other attorneys for graphics and trial support.
Geer Services continues to maintain the office’s website at http://www.sao4th.com with updates, security and maintenance upgrades. It has been a great relationship with the office and look forward to many more years working with them. If you are interested in the preservation of the history of Jacksonville, the new State Attorney’s Office has done just that, retaining a lot of wonderful history for a modern time.
